Sesame Broccoli

Owner of The Oilerie in Maple Grove, Terri Chaffer, prepares one of her family’s favorite side dishes for the holidays.

1 good sized bunch of fresh broccoli, chopped into bite size pieces
2 Tbsp. Maruso® Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp. Oilerie® Sesame oil
¼ tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. Oilerie® Garlic EVOO
1 Tbsp. sesame seeds


  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and garlic oil, mix well
  • Par-boil broccoli until just tender, plunge in ice water to stop cooking
  • Pat dry as well as possible
  • Place in a large bowl and pour over the soy mixture and mix well
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds
  • Serve chilled or serve warm, both are great
